BIOGRAPHY
I was born and raised in southeast Iowa. Growing up in a small town made me to create my own fun, leading me to pursue creative projects such as fun YouTube videos, short films, and making videos for school projects whenever I had the chance.
I graduated from Sigourney High School in 2018 and went straight to Indian Hills Community College where I studied Interactive Media Technology which focuses on Graphic Design, Online Marketing, and Web Development.
During my time at Indian Hills, I was hired at a local radio station which transitioned to a full-time job after I graduated in 2020. At the radio station, I managed multiple social media accounts, created graphics for social media and website banner ads, and led the production of numerous live-streamed events and local sports games.
After a few years at the radio station, I decided to further my education and enrolled at the University of Northern Iowa and got my Bachelor’s Degree from the Wilson College of Business for Global Marketing Management.
While at UNI, I had a job as a Student Fellow at Good Neighbor Iowa, a program ran by the Center for Energy & Environmental Education at UNI. My main duties were maintaining the website for Good Neighbor as well as attending local tabling events to educate the community about our initiative. My biggest accomplishments during my time at Good Neighbor were designing the website for Farming for Public Health and creating an interactive map of Iowa showing a count of pledges by county.
I was also hired as a TikTok intern at Re:wild Your Campus while I was at UNI. Re:wild Your Campus is a branch of Re:wild, a non-profit organization founded by Leonardo DiCaprio. During my time there, I created 1-3 TikTok videos per weekday, as well as monitoring the account and engaging with the community and followers.
This leads me to today, where all this accumulates to over 5 years of Traditional and Digital Marketing experience including (but not limited to): Social Media Management, Graphic Design, Content Creation, Web Development, Community Outreach, Data Analysis and Visualization, Photography and Video Production, and much more!
